MPC biosensor products are packaged in a small tube through which the patient can easily blow for several seconds. The reactive micro particles are packaged in an ampule, which is crushed immediately prior to use, releasing the particles. Through a catalyzed process, these reactive particles form a complex with the biomarker in the breath condensate which is easily viewed as a color change.
